I have known Linda since 1966 when she was a student  of mine in 
basic theory at Stanford.  I have maintained contact with her since
her graduation and have had the opportunity to discuss with her at
some length her plans.  She is an unusually intelligent and gifted person
and in adddition she is dedicated and tenacious in her work.

Linda's interest is in pursuing a program in chamber music in an active
and challenging environment.  Her choice of the San Francisco Conservatory is,
therefore, a good one.  I believe that she is fully capable of attaining
a level of excellence and should be given every possible encouragement.
